Anisotropy in adaptation processes to vertical- and horizontal-inverted eyeglasses
Ippei Negishi, Keisuke Murata (KIT) HIP2019-55
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The purpose of this research is to investigate the difference in adaptational mechanism to inverted glasses, between vertical and horizontal inverted conditions. I carried out experiments in which the subjects performed cognitive tasks after about an hour adaptation to inverted glasses for serial 3 days. As a result, the subjects adapted to the glasses in both inverted conditions, but significant difference was not observed in the task performance of them. However, the introspection reports suggested that subjects adapted to horizontal inverted glasses were more confused by odd space perception and felt stronger symptoms similar to motion sickness.
