Pre-validation for battery sharing concept using multi-agent simulation

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recent years, the power saving of communication of mobile terminals has become a big problem. To overcome this issue, we have proposed a framework that realizes power saving of communication by autonomously constructing an ad hoc tethering network for neighboring mobile terminals, and evaluated it using actual terminals. As a result of an evaluation experiment in a static environment that does not involve terminal movement, it has become clear that this framework can achieve a certain level of power saving. Therefore, in this study, we evaluated the virtual battery sharing concept using the proposed framework under the condition of terminal movement using multi-agent simulation (MAS). As a result, it became clear that the ratio of proxy terminals and accommodated terminals has an effect on power saving.
