Simple Throughput Evaluation Method of Massive MIMO with Linear Pre-coding Algorithm for LTE Based Signals

(in English) Massive MIMO has been attracted attention as a key technology in 5th generation mobile communication system (5G), because it can realize communication by inter-user interference reduction and simple signal processing by using a large number of antennas at a base station (BS). Block Diagonalization (BD) is well known as a relatively realistic linear control in the down-link of multi-use MIMO. We have proposed an antenna selective BD (BD-AS) algorithm that improves the characteristics of the BD algorithm by reducing the number of antennas on the user terminal side. In this paper, the throughput characteristics when the BD-AS algorithm is applied to downlink conventional multi-user MIMO and Massive MIMO are evaluated in consideration of access control and control signals of LTE based signals. As a result, it is shown that the BD-AS algorithm can achieve higher throughput than the BD algorithm as the number of users increases. In addition, the connection test results using the SDR-MIMO transmission / reception evaluation device produced by the authors are shown.
