Development of Functional Safety Design Method for High-speed Communication in Autonomous Car
Nozomi Watanabe, Kenichi Shimbo, Tadanobu Toba (Hitachi, Ltd.) SSS2019-23
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Along with the improvement of autonomous driving level, a number of Functional Safety (FuSa) elements has increased and FuSa design man-hours, especially for communication Interface (I/F), have also increased. In addition, Gbps-level high-speed communication between sensor and Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is rapidly required. Therefore, standardization of communication has not kept up and there’re many high speed communication standards. FuSa design for communication I/F also increase because individual FuSa design is required for each standards. In this paper, I’ll explain about a design method to shorten the FuSa design man-hours for communication I / F.
