Reversible quantum-flux-parametron (RQFP) is a logically and thermodynamically reversible logic gate composed of adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron (AQFP) logic. The energy dissipation of reversible circuits using RQFP decreases in proportion to the operating frequency because of the thermodynamic reversibility. In the present study, we designed a 2-input multiplexer (2MUX) using two RQFP gates, where majority logic synthesis was used to simplify the circuit structure. We calculated the energy dissipation of this circuit and confirmed that the energy dissipation decreases linearly as the operating frequency decreases. We fabricated this circuit using the AIST 10 kA/cm2 Nb high-speed standard process (HSTP). We confirmed the correct operation at a low frequency. |
