[Invited Talk] Improvement of real-time line monitoring system for realization of OPEN PHONONICS NETWORK

(in English) As the open optical network progress, it becomes an issue that maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructures become more complicated. Especially in a multi-vendor operating environment, it is very difficult to analyze the cause when a failure occurs, because the alarm issuance conditions of each vendor device are different. So, last year, we focused on the fault point separation between the line and the equipment, and proposed a real-time line monitoring system specialized in line fault detection that could not be realized by the conventional OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer). This paper introduces efforts for further improvement of this real-time track monitoring system.
