Network Design Visualization to Describe Topology Overview and Routing Details

(in English) In carrier-grade network design documents, hundreds of network diagrams are usually drawn to focus and elaborate on a specific design item, such as geolocation, logical position in the network, layer, protocol, and parameter per each network diagram. This specific-design-item approach is good for document maintainability since one design item described in limited diagrams can be easily updated. However, it makes grabbing design outline difficult for network operators.
In this research, we are evaluating a selectable item approach to draw both specific design items and outlines in web browsers on a single network diagram, which is automatically generated from a database.
In this paper, we report how to implement this approach and evaluation result after applying to actual carrier-grade network design documents.
