| (in English) | We report how the difference in visual information in a cognitive task influences the electroencephalogram (EEG) and the scores in the cognitive task. In the cognitive task, the subjects were requested to watch 22 movie clips of daily conversations by two actors and guess implicit intentions of the target actor. We prepared two variations for each of 22 movie clips with different visual information, that is, with or without a gaze queue by the target actor. Half of 22 movie clips presented to the subjects were randomly selected from the movie clips with a gaze queue, and the rest of the movie clips were selected from those without a gaze queue. We performed statistical comparisons of both the EEG and the answered text of the guess between the two variations (with or without a gaze queue). We observed both significant variations of the mu-frequency power in the EEG suggesting the activations of the mirror neuron system and significant decrease in the variance of the answered texts over the subjects. | |
