Demonstration experiment of intervention effect by smartphone app to improve mental wellness

(in English) In recent years, the mental condition of employees has been required to be improved. For this reason, measures such as reduction of working hours and stress check have been taken. In this research, we focused on the motivation function of daily tasks, which is a challenge selection of a smartphone application developed to improve mental wellness, and performed an individual unit intervention to recommend a challenge optimized for individuals. The improvement of mental wellness was confirmed by randomized controlled trial. In addition, the analysis revealed that the user group was highly effective in the intervention, and showed that the "activity level" of mental wellness was improved by 0.17 (relative to standard deviation). From these results, the possibility of a new methodology to improve mental wellness for each employee was shown.
