Design of Millimeter-wave UAV Base Station for Access Link

(in English) In the event of an emergency disaster, it is essential to provide a high-speed wireless communication infrastructure at all times quickly and stably, such as collecting information at the disaster site through image transmission and distributing important evacuation information. Therefore, in the event of an emergency, we will consider installing a wireless communication infrastructure in a UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle) to provide services via access links. For access links using UAV, high-speed infrastructure deployment and line-of-sight environment can be expected by using millimeter-wave interface. However, when multiple UAVs are deployed, interference between devices occurs, and there is concern that the data rate will deteriorate. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to reduce the interference between neighboring UAVs by placement and frequency division under the multiple UAV configuration environment, and perform a numerical analysis.
