The term of “Radio zone” means the range where an electromagnetic wave can arrives with detective level. The evaluation of the radio zone is necessary for a service area design of wireless system and/or an interference evaluation among wireless systems by all means.
In this report, evaluation models of path loss and visibility are focused as propagation model at high frequency band for an evaluation of radio zone. And features and ideas of those propagation models are described. Some representative propagation models and prediction methods in standardization such as 3GPP and ITU-R are introduced, and problems and roles of those models and methods are also described. |
