Proposal of a rate controlling method based on a viewer's face position and orientation for adaptive bitrate streaming

(in English) Recently, traffic flowing on the network is increasing rapidly. In particular, high-quality video such as 4K/8K and AR/VR has become popular, and much of all IP traffic is for video content. Adaptive-streaming which client device choice movies from different image quality movies prepared in advance which suitable for its situation is widely used for stable video distribution in a limited network. These choices are made based on networking situation but not considered for how the audience watch the movie. For these reasons, this paper propose rate controlling method which can reduce traffic while maintaining audience’s experience with restricting video reception depending on how the audience watch the movie when the audience will not be able to expect further improvement in the quality of experience.
