In order to prevent crimes such as illegal uploading and secret photography, a method to identify the camera that captured the digital images by using the pattern noise of the camera is attracting attention. In order to identify camera models, recently, a highly accurate camera model classification method based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) has been proposed. Pattern noise in the image is contaminated by JPEG compression, and the degree of contamination depends on the quality factor (Q-Factor) at the time of compression. Therefore, it could be that JPEG compression of different Q-factors from that of training samples degenerate the accuracy for CNN-based camera model classification. In this paper, we analyze the robustness of the CNN-based approach that are trained with softmax and triplet loss functions to different Q-Factor. We also report the effect of training using a mixed data set consisting of JPEG images of multiple quality factors for each loss function. |
