Almost all software reliability models have been proposed for the testing phase in software projects. The open source software are the software of source code opened in the world. Therefore many open source recently have been developed by several organized foundation and corporation. However, there are no specified testing phase in the development of open source software. Then, we propose the assessment method based on software efforts in the open source software project. We show the several numerical examples based in the effort data in bug tracking system and GUI(Graphical User Interface) of specified version for open source software. Furthermore we estimate the optimal maintenance time of open source software project by minimizing the software effort of open source project. Also, we show the results of sensitivity analysis in order to evaluate the model performance. |
