Features Selection with Gradient Boosting for Distance Teaching Support of Group Discussion

(in English) In recent years, group discussions are becoming an important part of recruitment examinations. Teachers teach group discussions to students as part of career support at some universities, and all of classes are online due to the coronavirus outbreak these days. When group discussions are held in multiple groups at the same time online, it may be difficult for the teacher to watch all the groups' videos and advice students in the same way as in person classes. In order to solve these problems, we aim to realize a remote teaching support system for group discussions. As part of the project, in this paper, we used the features obtained from the video of the group discussions and the evaluations of the discussion participants to create a classification model with gradient boosting and to select the important features.
