Analysis of simple cellular automata for music signal generation

(in English) The elementary cellular automata (ECAs) are a digital dynamical system in which time, space and states are all discrete.
Depending on a rule, the ECAs can exhibit a variety of spatiotemporal patterns.
This paper studies the ECAs dynamics from a standpoint of music signals.
In order to analyze the periodic orbits, we define two feature quantities.
The first quantity characterizes the maximum periodic orbit corresponding to music codes.
The seconds quantity characterizes stability of the maximum periodic orbits.
Using the feature quantities, we analyze all the ECAs of simple music signals.
Introducing time-variant rules, connection of multiple periodic orbits is also considered.
