On parameter identifications of Higher-Order IIR adaptive filters by using discrete chaotic systems

(in English) Since the structure of the error function is often multimodal, in case of a strategy that minimizes the error function in the parameter identification of higher-order IIR adaptive filters, the gradient method such as LMS may not be able to calculate the optimum filter coefficient. Multi-agent optimization algorithm can apply the collective behavior of organisms to search solutions, and can update filter coefficients without using gradient informations. We have developed a multi-agent optimization algorithm based on discrete chaos maps and we proposed an IIR filter design method that guarantees stability. In this study, we show simple examples of system identification of IIR filter by using our methods.
