In order to measure the dependence on temperature and humidity in complex permittivity of a thin plate sample, we investigate a measurement method using a split cylindrical cavity resonator. In this method, a gap is made in advance between a split cylindrical cavity resonator, and the sample is put into the gap, so that the temperature and humidity of the sample inside the split cylindrical cavity resonator are the same as those in a constant temperature bath in a short time interval. We show that the estimated values of the relative permittivity and dielectric loss tangent of the sample are in good agreement with those of the conventional measurement method by the split cylindrical cavity resonator. |
