Recently, due to the increase in the amount of information traffic, there has been a demand for higher speed and larger capacity wireless communications. On the other hand, the demand for new additional functions such as contactless power supply to device is also increasing. We have already developed an OAM (orbital angular momentum) multiplex communication system by using loop antennas with different diameters, for a large-capacity communication. By applying a spiral reflector to the antenna system, both short-range large-capacity communication and wireless power transfer (WPT) have been simultaneously realized. A quadruplex communication system with a four-element loop antenna array pair was constructed and measured for OAM multiplex communication and WPT at a distance of 3cm. In this fabricated system, a WPT efficiency of 82.6% was achieved at 41MHz and a signal-wave-to-interference-waves ratio of 15.6dB at 5.23GHz |
