Conventionally, since the vibration direction of the welding using ultrasonic wave is linear in one direction, the damage to the welding object is large and the welding strength is small. Then, we have investigated that the damage to the welding object is smaller than the case of only the linear one direction and the improvement in the welding strength can be expected by making the planar vibration direction. In this study, a new complex vibration source using two longitudinal vibration transducers and a uniform rod with diagonal slits was developed, and the depth of the diagonal slits and the fixing method of the flange of the vibration source were examined. As the results, large vibration amplitude was obtained when the diagonal slits was 4.0 mm. And we indicated the possibility of fixing the vibration source without suppressing longitudinal vibration propagated to the vibration source by fixing the outer periphery of the flange. |
