We built a system that allows children and students who cannot directly participate in classes due to illness or disability to communicate with teachers and friends at a remote school using an omni-directional mobile avatar robot that replaces them. Here, as an operation method for the avatar robot, we focused on the line-of-sight input that can be used even with severe physical disabilities, and proposed to perform straight-ahead and rotation operations by controlling the line-of-sight direction. Furthermore, it was clarified experimentally that it is possible to realize the intended route for the avatar robot by the operation. |
