Multibeam satellite communication systems are widely constructed from the viewpoint of effective use of frequencies. However, there is a problem that the increase in the inter-beam interference power I tends to cause a decrease in throughput. Therefore, we have developed a multi-beam satellite communication simulator that can precisely calculate the received C / (N + I) in the service area considering inter-beam interference power I. Using this simulator, the system throughput was calculated under the total number of beams 19, 37, 61, and 91 with the number of repetitive beams R=1 to 10. The simulation results revealed that 91 total beams with 2 repeating beams is the optimum value for satellite communication systems |
