Optimization of Optical Access Network Design for Beyond 5G

(in English) This paper describes optical access network design for beyond 5G and its optimum design parameters. While conventional optical access networks have been mainly designed for providing FTTH services economically, optical access networks for beyond 5G should support sophisticated and diversified services and meet high reliability requirements and unpredictable demands. In this paper, we introduce highly reliable and flexible optical access network design based on concatenated loop topology and fiber cross connection. We also optimize some of important parameters for designing it from the viewpoints of cost, reliability, and tolerance for demand variation.
