In reconstruction of X-ray computed tomography (CT), scattered X-ray is considered to cause problems such as the occurrence of artifacts or cuppings. For this reason, the scattered X-ray is removed with a device called a grid or corrected with some software. However, since scattered X-ray is thought to have information about objects, it is expected that the reconstruction accuracy will be improved by using the information. So far, numerical studies have been conducted on single-color X-ray irradiation. In this paper, we investigate the case of multi-energy X-ray that imitate actual X-ray tubes. Here, we show that the reconstruction accuracy is improved by using scattered X-ray through Monte Carlo simulation using the Dual-Energy method which regards the attenuation coefficient of the object as the sum of the two components of interactions. |
