We aim to identify the brain regions that are important for the realization of the mindfulness state, formulating the problem as network optimization problem and using a digital annealer.
In this study, we used the maximum-flow problem to formulate the information propagation pathways in the brain that contribute to the activation of brain regions that are structurally important for the mindfulness state, which were identified in the previous study. As a result of the simulation, about 30% of the pathways in the network structure were identified, and the pathway with the highest flow rate was considered to characterize the bottom-up emotional control during mindfulness. |
