| (in English) | In this paper, we propose a privacy protection system that detects human faces from images taken by a wide-angle camera, which is assumed to be a surveillance camera, and encrypts the detected face area. for face detection , we employ the AdaBoost learning method based on Haar-like features, and the face region is detected from the image captured by the wide-angle camera. Thus, by creating the training data based on face images captured by a wide-angle camera, it is possible to detect faces without losing the detection accuracy even in surveillance cameras. As an encryption for privacy protection, the block-scrambling encryption method is employed. In face detection, it is necessary to reduce the probability of missing a face as much as possible from the viewpoint of privacy protection, while a certain amount of false positives could be sacrificed. In the case of false positives the features of the background color space cannot be retained, and the visual impact is caused in the previous encryption methods. Therefore, in the proposed encryption method, the visual degradation is suppressed by improving the processing of color components. Through simulations, we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of detection accuracy for face detection and visibility and image quality for encryption. | |
