A Fast Algorithm of an Adaptive Notch Filter for Colored Input Signal

(in English) In an adaptive notch filter based on an allpass filter, it has been proved that the bias error is zero when the wideband signal is a white signal because the wideband signal satisfies orthogonality, assuming that the wideband and narrowband signals are statistically independent. However, when the broadband signal is colored, it does not satisfy orthogonality and the convergence speed is slowed down due to the bias error. An infinite-impulse response (IIR) adaptive notch filter based on an adaptive line enhancer (ALE) and an allpass filter has been proposed as a method to improve the frequency estimation
characteristics when the broadband signal is colored. This IIR adaptive notch filter shows the convergence speed when a value close to one is used for the polar radius. In this paper, I propose an adaptive notch filter based on the pole position control method to improve the convergence speed, and report the results of good convergence characteristics.
