[Poster Presentation] Performance evaluation of ACO-OFDM method with dither signal for PAPR reduction

(in English) In radio communication, there is a scheme that can reduce the peak power of
the OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal using a dither
signal. In this paper, we apply the peak reduction scheme using a dither
signal to the optical wireless communication, especially to the ACO-OFDM
(Asymmetrically Clipped Optical OFDM) method. By using the above peak
reduction scheme, we can design the dither signal so as not to interefere
with the data-carrying subcarriers in the ACO-OFDM method.
The results of the computer simulation show that the ACO-OFDM method with a
dither signal achieves not only almost the same BER performance, but also
a good PAPR performance, as compared to those of the conventional ACO-OFDM
method.
