Experimental Evaluation of Relay Nodes Selection Method for D2D-based SNS
Sora Okada, Takuji Tachibana (Univ.Fukui) NS2020-149
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we establish an out-group user relay function that allows some out-group users to relay messages to all users in a specific group, and propose three methods for selecting relay recipients.
In the out-group user relay function, when a candidate user does not belong to the group to which the message is to be sent, the message is forwarded according to either the random selection method, the single user selection method, or the reception history selection method.
In the random selection method, a message is sent with a certain probability to each out-group user encountered, while in the single user selection method, a single user is selected and forwarded when multiple out-group users are encountered at the same time.
In the reception history selection method, the source of messages in the reception history is checked, and messages are forwarded only to users who have relayed messages in which the destination user is the source.
In order to evaluate the performance of the three destination selection methods, this paper develops a D2D-based SNS application that can use the out-group user relay function and the destination selection method.
In order to evaluate the performance of the three methods, we develop a D2D-based SNS application that can use the out-group user relay function and the relay destination selection method.
We will evaluate the performance of the developed application and the method for selecting the user to relay to by conducting experiments on actual machines, and investigate the effectiveness of each selection method by confirming its operation in a real environment.
