A Study on Spectrum Database for Wireless LAN

(in English) In this paper, a dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) method using spectrum database is investigated for wireless LAN. Demand of radio frequency has been increasing with the expansion of deployment of wireless LAN. Recently, new allocation of 6GHz band has been considered in addition to 2.4GHz/5GHz band which is currently available for the wireless LAN. In this paper, we propose a spectrum database structure for sharing-based utilization of radio spectrum which has been already allocated for primary communication services. The proposed the database structure contains the estimation of available spectrum band based on discrete spectrum map with power level, and background search of available spectrum. Simulation results show that the less computational cost is achievable by the proposed method under the similar blocking probability of spectrum utilization.
