Analysis of the university presidents' message on the new coronavirus infection -- From the perspective of the presidents' leadership and crisis management --

(in English) In order to investigate the status of university response to the COVID-19, we focused on the leadership of the president in crisis management, messages from the presidents of 86 national universities were extracted from their websites and analyzed for content. We analyzed the clarity of the subject of the message, who the message was sent to (current students, new students, faculty, staff, parents, etc.), and the content and keywords that the message indicated. Results showed the situation where universities were sending a wide range of messages, from specific details such as infection prevention measures to university policies, advice, and encouragement.
