In this study, we propose a deep network to classify 3D cerebral blood flow SPECT volumes into four types: three types of dementia and normal. In interpretation of brain SPECT volumes, it is important to know the blood flow reduction in multiple regions at distant locations. Therefore, the proposed network improves the classification accuracy by combining CNN with a neural network that can extract features from multiple distant locations. |
