We have been developing WGI enabling simultaneous measurement of PET and Compton imaging. This study developed a hybrid image reconstruction method that can combine the two types of measurement events. By applying this method, we showed that it is possible to improve image quality by combining single gamma-ray events, which PET cannot measure, and reduce image artifacts unavoidable for a partial-ring PET geometry with an open space. |
