[Invited Talk] Scaling limits of interference fields in spatial stochastic models of ultra-dense wireless networks

(in English) Recently, ultra-dense wireless networks have been attracting attention to cope with the increasing data volume in wireless communication networks, where we can ensure a large number of links enabling large-volume data communication by setting up a large number of wireless base stations with low power and narrow range. However, when wireless base stations are placed at high density, radio interference may become an issue. In this talk, we consider a spatial stochastic model of wireless networks, which represents the irregular deployments of wireless nodes as a spatial point process, and introduce a kind of central limit theorems that hold for a stochastic field representing the radio interference as the intensity of the point process (density of points) goes to infinity. First, we show that when the point process is a homogeneous Poisson point process, a normal or stable stochastic field can be derived as the scaling limit of the interference field. We also extend the result to the case where the point process is a stationary determinantal point process. Furthermore, we demonstrate how these limit theorems can be used to approximate the performance of ultra-dense wireless networks.
