(in English) In this paper we consider the optimal design problems for parallel systems with independent and
non-identically distributed component lifetimes. Two optimization problems are considered for both $n$-out-of-$n$
system and $k$-out-of-$n$ system; one is to determine the optimal number of components, the
other is to determine the optimal preventive replacement time, by minimizing the expected
costs per unit time in the steady state. In computation of the expected
cost per unit time in the steady state, we apply a refined recursive algorithm of the Poisson binomial
distribution.
