The effectiveness of Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) has been proposed as a countermeasure against BGP route hijacking, which exploits BGP vulnerabilities to manipulate routing between ASes.In order to increase secure routes using RPKI, it is necessary for each AS to establish an authentication environment using RPKI, and creating the necessary certificates.Although the deployment of RPKI is gradually increasing, it is still less than 30% at May 2021. In this paper, we analyze under what factors increase the deployment rate. To accomplish this, we conduct a multi-agent simulation that simulates RPKI deployment and non-deployment based on each ASes’ profit and loss at a certain deployment status. |
