Using open software and software defined radio, we developed a proof-of-concept facility (PoC) for a normally-off local 5G base station with energy matching AI, input pseudo-call traffic for 10 days, and evaluate power consumption. It was confirmed that it can be operated only with renewable energy such as solar power generation. In addition, in order to further reduce power consumption in emergencies, we created a trial power model simulator that can verify the effect of DeepSleep mode and evaluated the operating time. |
