Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We experimentally verify that we can distinguish the levels of 4-ary Pulse Amplitude Modulation (4-PAM) signals after passing one-bit Analogue-to-Digital Converter (1bit ADC) by utilizing an appropriate level of additional wide-band noise.
The receiver consists of a noise generator, a high-speed ADC, and a data capture board, and we realize the 1bit ADC on software.
We compare the received signals on the condition of attenuating wide-band noise levels from 0 dB to 30 dB. Then, we confirm that the most appropriate signal for demodulating 4-PAM signal can be obtained when the attenuation level is 15 dB.
This result confirms that we can experimentally realize stochastic resonance on receiving M-ary PAM signal with 1bit ADC.
