In software development, it is generally known that detecting defects at an early stage of the process reduces rework and improves development efficiency. The integration of natural language processing and software engineering is becoming more important, as researches on methods to extract state transitions from natural language specifications by NLP are being conducted. In general, these approaches link NLP with formal approaches such as model checking. In this study, we attempt to extract state transition relations from conditional statements in specifications. As an intermediate process, we propose a method for automatically generating formulas of temporal logic that can be mapped to LTL formulas, and demonstrate its usefulness with some practical example sentences. |
