Received Power Improvement and K-factor in the Desired Direction of Meta-Surface Reflector at 28 GHz-Band

(in English) In the next generation system, it is difficult to construct wireless service area because it is allocated high frequency band that has high straight advancing property and large propagation loss by reflection and diffraction at the wall. In order to improve such service area, MSR (Meta-Surface Reflector) which can control the reflection wave to desired direction is investigated. Therefore, for considering the received power improvement by the effect of MSR, we measured received power by utilizing the MSR at 28 GHz-band. In this measurement, we used two types of MSRs with different reflection angle which is 30 degree and 45 degree. From the measurement result, we show that the received power in the desired direction of MSR is improved by 8 dB or more and its distance characteristics tends to be similar to Ladar Equation. Moreover, we show that the effect of the reflection wave from MSR relative to multiple waves in an indoor environment by K-factor.
