Experimental Evaluation of a Wave Source Location Estimation Method Using UAVs

(in English) In recent years, the pressure on frequency resources owing to the increase in wireless communication systems has become a problem.
In addition, this problem is expected to become even more serious in light of the expansion of the usage area of the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) that will be deployed in the future.
However, focusing on time and place, there are unused frequency resources, and studies are being conducted on the secondary use of these frequency resources.
For secondary use, it is necessary to estimate the transmitted wave source position; however, it has not been possible conventional method because of multipath and antenna size problems.
In previous study, we proposed a method of compressive sensing using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and clarified the effectiveness of the method by conducting simulations.
In this study, we conducted experiments related to the proposed method in order to evaluate the estimation accuracy in real environment.
