System clocks for IoT devices are generally inaccurate. Therefore, time synchronization is necessary for normal program operation. In particular, time synchronization using the Internet or satellite signals for IoT devices is not suitable due to the high power consumption for communication and radio reception. In order to solve this problem, a time correction technology has been proposed that learns the relationship between the time deviation and the CPU core temperature, and corrects the time deviation based on the temperature. In the previous study, the data was collected by letting the natural temperature change in the room to learn the temperature characteristics. Therefore, the temperature range was affected by the season, and the necessary temperature range could not be obtained when the correction was executed.
In this paper, we solve this problem by using a thermostatic bath to obtain the time drift temperature characteristics. In the experiment, we actually performed the characteristic learning using a thermostatic bath and compared it with the conventional characteristic learning by natural temperature change. The effect of changing the method of property acquisition on the correction accuracy is also discussed. |
