A method using a FIR Hilbert transformer is known as a method for estimating frequency. In this method, an oscillating component is generated in addition to the estimated instantaneous frequency, and by removing this component, highly accurate frequency estimation is possible. However, in general, when the Hilbert transformer is applied to a noisy signal, a bandpass filter and a Hilbert transformer are required to be connected vertically, which increases the order of the whole system. In this paper, we design a filter that can perform the Hilbert transform while removing noise by placing the transmission zeros at a specified position on the Hilbert transformer with a stopband. As a result, it is shown that the order of the whole system can be reduced compared with the method of connecting bandpass filters vertically. |
