A compact and broadband printed monopole antenna for circular polarization

(in English) Authors have proposed a printed elliptical monopole antenna for circular polarization. The radiation characteristics of the wideband circular polarization were achieved by designing the antenna asymmetrically to a microstrip line. The bandwidth of 10dB return loss with a 3dB axial ratio is approximately 83.6% (2.20-5.36 GHz) and the size of the antenna is 0.477c2(c : wavelength at center frequency). In this paper, miniaturization of the antenna proposed by authors is examined. The size of the antenna miniaturized in this paper is approximately 44% (0.209c2) of the antenna proposed in the authors’ previous study. In the simulation results, the bandwidth of 10dB return loss with a 3dB axial ratio is approximately 41.8%(2.84-4.34GHz).
