High-frequency measurement of reversible quantum-flux-parametron logic

(in English) Reversible quantum-flux-parametron (RQFP) is a logically and thermodynamically reversible logic gate composed of adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron (AQFP) logic. In a previous study, we have demonstrated several reversible circuits using RQFP logic at a low frequency. In the present study, we conducted high-speed test of a reversible AND (RAND) gate and an RQFP gate to show that RQFP gate can operate at high clock frequencies. RAND gates can operate at up to 3.5 GHz in experiments. However, RQFP gates cannot operate at 1 GHz. This is because the input currents to majority gates in RQFP gate is small, causing malfunctions at high clock frequencies due to fabrication deviation and thermal noise. In the future, we have to modify the circuit structure to increase the input currents to majority gates in RQFP gate.
