In supervised learning, training data is labeled. In addition, a large amount of data is required to improve the accuracy of the training results. In this study, we propose a method to estimate labels of unlabeled data using only a small amount of labeled data. The proposed method uses a new evaluation criterion based on the Fisher criterion. The Fisher criterion minimizes the within-class variance and maximizes the between-class variance. However, the usual Fisher criterion is not used for linearly inseparable data. Experiments show that this new criterion is effective for linearly inseparable data. |
