Development of a web application for Circulating Tumor Cells extraction

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) The detection of circulating cancer cells (CTCs) in blood, which is one of the factors of cancer metastasis, is necessary for the early detection of cancer metastasis.
In this paper, we propose a method for extracting CTCs from blood images by analyzing the surface of the cells, taking advantage of the fact that the brightness values of the surface of CTCs are unequal.
In addition, we have developed a web-based CTC extraction application that can be used anywhere.
