Capacitive-coupling wireless power transfer is advantageous because continuous dynamic powering along a roadway of tens of meters is possible with a single RF-power supply. The purpose of this study is to design a high-efficiency electrified roadway with a drainage mechanism.To improve drainage, we propose a new structure that does not use materials that contain water easily.The S parameters of the electrified roadway are evaluated by electromagnetic wave analysis, and maximum available efficiency $eta_{mathrm{max}}$ is estimated. We sweep the roadway length from 10 to 100 m in the electromagnetic wave analysis to evaluate $eta_{mathrm{max}}$. The simulation results show that $eta_{mathrm{max}}$ of the 10 m roadway is 99 % in the dry condition and 98 % in the moist condition, and $eta_{mathrm{max}}$ does not decrease substantially.Futhermore, $eta_{mathrm{max}}$ of the moist 100 m roadway is higher than 85 %.We thus conclude that $eta_{mathrm{max}}$ of the moist road maintains high for a long distance.These results show that the road designed in this study is less susceptible to the effects of water and can achieve high efficiency power transfer over long distances. |
