Evaluation of External Disturbance Immunity by Bulk Current Injection into Ethernet Communication System

(in English) We developed a model of communication failures caused by external disturbances in Ethernet and collected experimental data. We measured the degradation of communication quality by bulk current injection (BCI) experiments on a wired communication network using Category 5e UTP cable that meets the Ethernet standard of 1000 BASE-T. As a result of evaluation using three types of L2 switch products, the amount of current flowing into the cable increased in the frequency band around 50 MHz, and a significant decrease in data rate was observed
