Complexity analysis for temporal patterns of pupil diameters in neural model for ADHD

(in English) As major pathology of ADHD, overactivity of the locus coeruleus (LC) related to inattention are known.
Moreover, pupil diameter is strongly correlated with LC activity, and asymmetry of LC activity influences the complexity of the temporal pattern of pupil diameter in ADHD.
In this study, we constructed a neural model of pupil diameter control in ADHD focusing on the overactivity and asymmetry of LC activity, and evaluated its complexity.
As the result, the parameter region of baseline activity of LC for high right-side complexity, which corresponds to the tendency of physiological result, was identified.
This approach focusing right-and-left-side difference of complexity in pupil diameter may facilitate developing support tool to diagnosis of ADHD.
